It was a late night, missions were endless, and they had just had a chance to rest.

Yuta Uchiha and Sakura Uzumaki had just sat on top of the Hokage Mountains when the moon hung high in the sky. Hands holding, eyes closed, they listened to the sweet music of crickets.

Any other couple would be hanging out at a restaurant, or a messing around in the training grounds, but Sakura’s Father, Naruto, wasn’t really okay with her choice of men… like he even wanted his daughter to date.

Yuta wouldn’t have minded going out of the fire country to have a good time but Sakura had flat down refused saying they had been out of their home boundaries for almost a full week, and the only good ramen was sold here.

“This is boring, can’t we just drug your father and go to the ramen stand? I’m starving” Yuta complained moving his head to the side and peeking one of his midnight black eyes open to stare at Sakura and saw her eyebrow twitch in irritation.

“You just ate a freakin’ hour ago, Yuta, can’t you just wait?” Sakura sighed refusing to meet his eyes knowing he would start pouting, and she sure the hell didn’t want to punch him at the moment, just wanted to enjoy a real date.

“Come on Saku, I think my stomach is eating me alive” Yuta groaned rolling all the way over until he was on top of Sakura, hands supporting his weight so he didn’t crush her, “please?” he bit his upper lip and jutted out his lower one in a pout, his whisker birth marks stretching out.

“I swear..” Sakura grumble clenching her fists but refrained from using violence, “go down to the river and catch you a damn fish, that should fill you up”.

“Great idea” Yuta purred pushing his nose against hers and licked her lips, “join me? Maybe we could take a bath together?”.

“Yuta…” Sakura growled in warning, gritting her teeth and squeezing her eyelids closed.

“Yes?” Yuta asked, oblivious to her tone of voice or her heated up face that wasn’t there because of embarrassment.

“YOU PERV!” Sakura screeched letting her fist connect with his cheek making him fly back more than a few feet, “you know what? Go jump in the river and drown yourself like the damn cat you are!”. With that she got up and stomped her way home.

“Saku, wait!” Yuta called out sitting up painfully and cradling his soon to be bruised cheek with his hand.

“What, Uchiha?!” Sakura screamed crossing her arms across her chest.

“I love you” Yuta chuckled with a goofy grin, rubbing his cheek thinking of her violence as affection.

“I love you too you big wannabe” Saku sighed loosening up her muscles and calmed her anger, “.. and don’t drown yourself, a figure of speech”.

“No problem” Yuta laughed.

Sakura rolled her eyes and made her way down the mountain to get some good night sleep.. Though there was one ramen left in the cupboard at home, maybe she could eat it before her dad found out.
